Hub Coordinator Roles

What does a month in the life of a hub coordinator look like? Have you got what it takes to be a part-time volunteer hub coordinator? We have 9 hubs, each with a coordinator who looks after the needs of trappers in his or her area.
As a coordinator you will receive goodies – lures, bait, etc – from our lead coordinators, to distribute to volunteer trappers in your hub, when they need restocking. Once a month you’ll ask your trappers how their supplies are, and for any general trapping issues. And you’ll keep your ear to ground in case someone new in the area wants to trap.
You will help lay and set up new traplines or add or replace traps, and of course once you’re up to speed, give training and support to others, such as how to lay a flour blaze to attract possums. Or the importance of trap hygiene and maintenance.
Wanted: A Volunteer Coordinator for Hub 5 (South Mahurangi West)
Contact our lead coordinator Jeff [mob. 027 590 9245] if you’d like to discuss becoming a pest control hub coordinator for either Hub 5 or Hub 8 (see maps below).
