Thank you to Auckland Council

A huge THANK YOU to Auckland Council for their generous support of invasive weed control in the buffer zone surrounding Mahurangi Regional Park. Their $10,000 grant to Mahurangi West Pest, awarded in January, has enabled us to carry out this important work.

With this support, Mahurangi West Pest works alongside landowners and residents to control some of our most invasive pest plants, including wild ginger and asparagus fern, before they take over. This helps protect our native plants, supports the birds and wildlife that depend on them, and preserves the biodiversity that makes this area so special.

Every property involved helps protect Mahurangi Regional Park for future generations. Thank you to everyone who has participated so far

If you live within the 500 m buffer zone around the regional park and would like to find out more or get involved, please email us at mahurangiwestpest@gmail.com.
