Possum Traps from Predator Free NZ

Jeff Marsh, Pest Control Manager for Mahurangi West Pest
with a new delivery of Predator Free NZ pest control tools

Our Pest Control Manager, Jeff Marsh, takes charge of a new delivery of 34 Flipping Timmy possum traps and 3 Trapinators (another type of possum trap), purchased with a generous grant from Predator Free NZ, as part of its Backyard Communities programme. These humane traps will be used in our coastal communities to reduce the numbers of possums devastating the eggs and chicks of native birds in particular, but also a wide range of plants, from fruit trees, to flowering natives. Possums eat up to 3 kilograms each, per night, of leaves, shoots and fruit.
